Some riders customize their bikes for style, some for performance, and others for pure self-expression. For Jaime Camil, it’s all of the above—meticulously researched, carefully curated, and deeply personal. His 2024 Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST is more than just a bike; it’s a testament to the art of customization, a blend of West Coast style and understated elegance.
The Vision: West Coast Style with a Subtle Edge
Jaime didn’t want a flashy, over-the-top custom job. Instead, he aimed for a bike that looked clean and purposeful—something that, from a distance, might seem like just another ST but, up close, reveals the sheer level of detail, thought, and time invested into every modification.
The Build Process: Research, Precision, and Global Sourcing
Jaime is a researcher at heart. He doesn’t just slap parts on his bike—he dives deep into the details, scouring the internet, watching YouTube videos, and even sourcing rare parts from Germany when needed. Whether it was tracking down the exact black part to connect the engine primary to the shifter linkage or finding the perfect floorboards, he left no stone unturned.
A Breakdown of Key Modifications:
Handlebars & Controls: 9.5” risers from Thrashin Supply with custom extension cables from Harley-Davidson
Aesthetics & Finishing Touches: All-black screws from DStar Customs, black levers from PSR USA, and custom bolt covers from Amazon
Fairing & Windshield: Custom color-matching fairing from Advanblack, paired with a Clearview Shields windshield
Performance & Ride Comfort: Customized seat from LePera, black rotors and front caliper repositioning from Lyndall Brakes, and a Sawicki Speed 2-into-1 exhaust for a deep, aggressive growl
Lighting & Safety: LED turn signals and taillights from Custom Dynamics, LP6 headlamp upgrade from Baja Designs
Additional Accessories: Engine crash bars from Bung King, handlebar utility bag from San Diego Customs, and a Dean Speed sissy bar
Collaborations & Brand Partnerships
Jaime isn’t just about bolting on parts—he actively builds relationships within the motorcycle community. For this build, he collaborated with Advanblack, LePera, Arlen Ness, Clearview Shields, and Lyndall Brakes, offering to showcase their products on his social media in exchange for partnerships. Not every brand says yes, but when they do, it creates a unique synergy between rider and manufacturer.

Challenges? None—Because of Careful Planning
Unlike many builders who run into unexpected hurdles, Jaime’s meticulous approach means he rarely faces major roadblocks. He researches every part and potential issue in advance, ensuring a smooth build process without surprises.
What’s Next?
For now, this build is nearly perfect. If anything, he’d love to add a Wood Performance cam—but since they don’t ship to California, that might take some creative problem-solving. (Shhh… we won’t tell. 😉)

Why This Bike? Why Ride?
Jaime sums it up simply: “Everything. I love the feel, the heritage, and how the bike looks.” His Low Rider ST isn’t just a machine—it’s a reflection of his passion, his attention to detail, and his love for the open road.
From research to execution, Jaime Camil’s build is a masterclass in customization. It’s a reminder that great bikes aren’t just built—they’re crafted, piece by piece, with passion and purpose.
